Kognito Interactive is one of the silver
medal winners of the International Serious Play Awards Competition with the Serious Game At-Risk in Primary
Care in the Healthcare/Medical category.
Developed
in partnership with the NYC Department of Health and Mental Hygiene, the
simulation is free to all New York City primary care providers (PCPs). The
training helps PCPs screen and manage patients with potential trauma-related
mental health disorders.
Kognito
designed At-Risk in
Primary Care, a CME and CNE approved online Serious Game, to help
prepare primary care providers to recognize when patients’ physical ailments
may be masking underlying trauma-related mental health disorders such as PTSD (Post-Traumatic
Stress Disorder) or depression and how to build a treatment plan that engages
the patient and integrates mental health so that the causes of the symptoms are
addressed and treated.
The At-Risk in Primary Care program is available online and is divided into modules of 10-20 minutes each. The training may be completed in one sitting or over time. Learners who successfully complete the training are eligible for 1.50 CME or CNE credit.
Kognito's Human Interaction Simulation Platform™ enables Kognito to author and deliver virtual practice environments where learners engage in challenging conversations with emotionally responsive avatars that act and respond like real people thereby replicating real-life interactions. By engaging in deliberate practice and receiving personalized feedback, learners internalize best practices and tactics in managing these conversations and become more confident and capable to handle similar conversations in real life.
